About Café Meridian
Every morning, before the sun rises, the day begins with fresh preparation.
Café Meridian is a welcoming lunch café and catering company built around fresh ingredients, homemade food, creative daily specials, and genuine hospitality. Husband-and-wife team Alon and Sashah met while working in a restaurant in New York and have worked side by side ever since. Together, they bring more than forty years of restaurant experience to Café Meridian.
Each morning, Alon hand-fillets salmon, hand-trims chicken, and prepares many of the sauces and ingredients used throughout the menu, while Sashah is often baking fresh cookies and brownies for the day ahead.
Items throughout Café Meridian are prepared in-house, including scratch-made enchilada sauce, house-made chipotle crema, pesto, pickled onions, fresh pico de gallo, dressings, cookies, desserts, and seasonal specials.
We grow some of the herbs used in our kitchen in our home garden, including fresh basil, dill, chives, and other seasonal herbs that make their way from garden to plate.
Growing up as the youngest of eleven siblings, Alon learned to cook while helping his mother and sisters prepare meals for large family gatherings. That tradition of cooking with care continues in every meal we serve today.

Over the years, Café Meridian has grown from a neighborhood lunch destination into a trusted catering partner for businesses, universities, hospitals, and organizations throughout the Triangle. Whether we are preparing lunch for a few guests or catering an event for hundreds, we approach every order with the same attention to detail and commitment to quality.
As hands-on owner-operators, Alon and Sashah are involved in every part of the business each day, helping ensure every detail reflects the care and attention that have guided them throughout their careers.
Together with our small, close-knit team, we work hard to create a place where guests feel welcome, food is prepared with care, and guests are treated like family.
